Glycopyrrolate is a medicine which is used for the treatment of ulcers patient. It also reduces excessive drooling caused by certain medical conditions (especially cerebral palsy).

Glycopyrrolate is also used in surgery, as it used before or after surgery to reduce secretions in the mouth, throat, airways, and stomach. It is used in both before or during the surgery to block the certain reflex. Also, used to protect against some medication side effects.

It belongs under of drug called anticholinergics. As it blocks the activity of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter. This is first launching in the year 1961 by The Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Glycopyrrolate comes in oral and injectable form. Oral comes as a tablet or solution to take by mouth. The tablets are usually taken two or three times a day. However, the solution also took three times a day.

Your dosage will depend on your weight, medical condition and response to treatment. Your doctor may start your dosage as a low quantity and may gradually increase them.

The solution should be taken at least one hour before or two hours before the meal. Carefully measure your dose.
